Our partner is a leading national charity who provide life changing short breaks and holidays to families facing incredibly challenging circumstances. Their breaks are a chance for families to connect, revitalise and discover. Covid-19, and the challenges of lockdown, mean that even more families are facing very difficult circumstances, and the need for the services that the charity provides is growing.
Since the charity was set up 45 years ago, they have enabled 52,000 families to take time out from their daily life – and just enjoy what many of us take for granted: fresh air, playing on the beach, eating ice cream. Last year alone, 4,800 families took a vital break – some for the first time together as a family.
The charity is seeking a Finance and Resourcing Director who can really make a difference by ensuring the continued positive financial performance of the charity. The role of will be integral for the organisation’s future in enabling us to sustain our mission to help families most in need.#
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and implementing strong financial controls, budget management, management accounting and cash flow modelling, forecasting and financial analysis and will take a prominent role in leading the charity to become an even better place to work.
In addition to leading the provision of financial services to the charity you will also take the lead across HR, IT and facilities to ensure wider, strong operational performance.
The successful candidate will be an experienced people manager who effectively balances commercial acumen with strong values and a desire to make a difference to families andcreate a strong, sustainable organisation. In addition, they will have a proven track record of successfully managing finance functions within a not-for-profit environment, working in partnership with fundraising teams to maximise donor contributions.
The best candidates will have proven experience of providing first-class financial reporting, monitoring and analysis along with a track record of developing and implementing budgeting processes in a collaborative and engaging manner. They will also have managed other business functions that may include Human Resources, IT and facilities.
